Turn on some holiday music, pour yourself a glass of eggnog, and get ready to dive into a holiday DIY project! We love using dried Endless Summer® Hydrangeas in holiday decor, and this garland is no exception. Keep reading for step-by-step instructions on how you can make this easy and beautiful garland at home.
For this garland, we used dried BloomStruck® Hydrangea blooms. Drying hydrangea blooms is super easy, and if you need to learn how, watch our video here. To add extra interest to the garland, take your pruners and head into the garden to gather some evergreens. We used First Editions® Sky High™ Juniper because we are obsessed with the silvery-blue foliage!
In preparation for tying the hydrangeas to the garland, you need to cut the stems. The length of this will depend on the garland you’re using, but a 2-inch stem should be perfect.
Using your wire, tie a little loop around your hydrangea stem. Then, tie that around your garland. Do this with all the hydrangea blooms, arranging them evenly down the garland.
It’s time to add your evergreens, pinecones, and glass votive candles. Adding these items will help build out the garland while complimenting the hydrangea blooms beautifully.
