Time To Ship
During the winter off-season there is no shipping. Pre-orders placed during this winter off-season will be shipped in the spring as soon as weather permits, estimated to be in April. Southern states start shipping before the northern states, usually opening up over a period of four or five weeks.
During the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons, dependent on weather, orders are typically shipped out in 2 to 5 business days from the time the order is placed. Some shipments to western states of AZ, CA, MT, NV, OR, UT & WA may take 7-10 days to ship. Extreme temperatures in your state will result in a delay of your order being shipped to protect your plant/s. High temperatures are the number one reason for shipping delays.
Weather
Please note that all shipments are dependent upon weather, and are shipped only when it is determined to be safe for shipping without harm to the plants. During the shipping season we post notices about weather related shipping delays in general terms, usually referring to ship-to states that are experiencing delays. Please monitor the weather in your state and order accordingly, knowing plants will not be shipped during times of extreme temperatures.
Shipping Carrier & Tracking
Fed-Ex is the primary carrier used to ship all plant orders. On occasion an alternate shipping carrier may be used if need be. A shipping notification email will be sent to you when your order ships and will include a tracking number so you can track your shipment.
We are not able to bill shipping to customer carrier accounts.
Packaging
We take great care in packaging your plants for shipment. We use boxes specifically created for protecting plants with interior structure for securing the plant. Plants are typically boxed individually one plant per box.
